Distinguished Professor Elinor Ostrom, who received the 2009 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences for her groundbreaking research on the ways that people organize themselves to manage resources has passed away. Elinor was a source of inspiration to many of us as an academic and as a person. Her energy, enthusiasm, and ideas will be greatly missed.
