Claire Rice
I am a third year vet student at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in Athens, Georgia. I am mostly interested in wildlife rehabilitation and conservation medicine. At UGA I am one of the managers of the Wildlife Treatment Crew that takes in injured wildlife and treats them for no cost, giving students clinical wildlife experience. Currently I am working on a project studying vector-borne blood parasites in African penguins. In any free time that I manage to scrounge up in vet school, I love going backpacking, camping, biking, climbing, and just spending as much time outside as possible.
