David Roth is currently a PhD student in the School of Population and Public Health at the University of British Columbia. His previous training was in the field of Ecology, where he completed an MSc. degree from the university of Alberta. His current research interests are broadly focused on the role of human development as a driver of emerging infectious disease, with a more specific focus on the environmental and ecological determinants of WNV infections. He was a participant in the first Eco-Health Training Program organized by the Canadian Community of Practice in Ecosystem Approaches to Health that took place in Vancouver in August 2008.
