Middlebury Fellowship in Environmental Journalism offers journalists in their early career funding and professional support to cover an ambitious reporting project. Ten applicants are selected, and applicants should apply with a project in mind. This program is directed by renowned writer Bill McKibben.

Resources for the Future (RFF) Fellowships and Internships promote research and policy analysis in RFF's discipline fields by supporting work at colleges, universities, and other institutions, both in the United States and elsewhere, and by bringing researchers to RFF to contribute to projects underway and to the formulation of new lines of inquiry.
The Knauss fellowship, established in 1979, provides a unique educational experience to students who have an interest in ocean, coastal and Great Lakes resources and in the national policy decisions affecting those resources. The program matches highly qualified graduate students with "hosts" in the legislative and executive branch of government located in the Washington, D.C. area, for a one year paid fellowship.

U.S. nationals are not eligible, although Fellows may study in the United States."
